Episode # 6 Shatter the sun!

Ah, the good old days!

Intro

Looking at this faction takes us back to the times of the Burning Crusade. Some of the Blood Elves and Draenei have banded together in an attempt to derail the plans of Kael'thas and the use of the sunwell to bring the infamous Kil'jaeden to azeroth.

The famous monument

Getting Started

Getting to the isle is as simple as taking a flight path from Ironforge or Silvermoon City once your are level 65. You can also fly from Hatchet Hills or Light's Hope. Once you have progressed far enough through the story of reclaiming the isle you can also use a portal from Shattrath City to get there.

Shattrath Portal

The Reputation gain is very simple because once you have started the story of taking back the island you have daily quests you can do, and you can also run the Magisters' Terrace instance on normal or heroic until exalted. As usual, this is trivial at level 90 and can be completed fairly quickly.

What am I working towards?

Most of the faction rewards from the Shattered Sun are nothing that would of great significance now. The most exciting things that can be gained from reaching exalted status is being able to receive the title "... of the Shattered Sun" for your character after completing the quest, "A Magnanimous Benefactor"

1000 gold.... hmm

The other reason I wanted to highlight this faction was because by running Magister's Terrace you can get the [Phoenix Hatchling] as well as the [Orb of the Sin'dorei] and the [Swift White Hawkstrider]. While these are not directly from reputation gains, they are a great side benefit!

Conclusion

This is a simple faction with an big part of the story of azeroth. Jump in an enjoy the story then reap the rewards that come from and alongside the reputation grind.

We will be back next week with another tip! Thank you for all the support! If you have a faction you would like us to highlight, please let us know in the comments or on twitter.

May the light be with you!
